Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel will officially welcome guests for the first time from 21st June 2021, it has been announced.
The long awaited re-theme and refurbishment of the opening day Hotel New York has been long in the waiting and highly anticipated since its announcement back in the Summer of 2017. When opened it will mark Disney’s first ever Marvel themed hotel in the world, taking inspiration from the magnificent art that goes into the characters, stories and set pieces behind the comic book giants and their iconic 82 year history.
“Our Guests will discover and be amazed by our brand-new Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel, the only hotel in the world dedicated to Marvel art, offering a premium, incredibly immersive and one-of-a-kind experience. We are looking forward to celebrating these milestones together with our Cast and Guests in a few weeks,” said Natacha Rafalski, President of Disneyland Paris.
The hotel will boast an incredible 350 pieces of Marvel artwork, 50 of which will be entirely unique and exclusive to the hotel. These will include sketches and drawings, models, coloured panels and one of a kind commissions by some of the most famous and iconic Marvel artists both past and present.
Guests will be able to stay in comfort in one of the 561 rooms available to book inside the hotel. This includes 471 Superior rooms, 65 Empire State Club rooms and 25 suites themed to different iconic Marvel heroes such as Spider-Man, Thor, the Avengers or The Art of Marvel Presidential suites. Those staying in can also take advantage of the four restaurants and bars which will open along with the hotel, each offering a different taste, feel or inspiration to the superhero genre and its themes.
21st June isn’t the first date we have been given regarding an opening for Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel. The hotel was initially planned to welcome guests as far back as last summer before the global pandemic threw Disneyland Paris and the theme park industry itself into turmoil with temporary closures. Much like many of Marvel’s cinematic projects, The Art of Marvel was left with no choice but to delay its grand opening to a time where it was safe and realistic for guests to stay.
Booking to stay in the hotel will be available from 18th May from the official Disneyland Paris website. Guests who do book before 29th July for an arrival prior to 30th March 2022 will benefit from two added incentives to celebrate the hotel’s opening. Guests will receive an unique limited edition print by renowned artist Matt Ferguson, inspired by the hotel and the famous Marvel artwork that will be found all around. Early bookers can also take advantage of a free non-alcoholic beverage per person from either of the hotel’s bars.
