Everything you need to know about Health Pass

From 21st July, all adults will be required to have a valid Health Pass in order to visit Disneyland Paris

Disneyland Paris has recently updated their health & safety policy for visiting the resort during the global pandemic to maximise the safety and well-being of all guests and Cast Members alike.

With these new regulations is the introduction of Health Pass. Health Pass is a new proof of safety all guests must have and be ready to produce in order to visit Disneyland Paris anytime in the foreseeable future. This new rule is in line with the latest French government rulings and thus must be practiced by Disneyland Paris by law. More information on the legal requirements of Health Pass can be found on the French government website.

What is Health Pass?

Health Pass is the latest regulation set by French government and is required by law to be presented to visit public places and event. By law, a Health Pass will be required in order to visit Disneyland Paris.

Who needs a Health Pass to visit Disneyland Paris?

From 21st July 2021, all adults over 18 years of age will need a Health Pass in order to visit Disneyland Paris.

From 30th August 2021, all guests aged 12 – 17 years old will need a Health Pass in order to visit Disneyland Paris.

Currently, children under the age of 12 years old do not need a Health Pass to visit Disneyland Paris.

How do I get a Health Pass?

In order to have a valid Health Pass, guests must provide proof of one of the following conditions:

  • They are fully vaccinated with both doses from an EMA approved vaccine, at least 2 weeks prior to visiting Disneyland Paris (or 4 weeks if receiving the Johnson & Johnson vaccine).
  • They have tested negative with a PCR or Antigen test with a negative result within the past 48 hours to visiting Disneyland Paris.
  • They have proof that they were infected with COVID-19 between at least 11 days – 6 months prior to visiting Disneyland Paris.

If a guest can present any of these three conditions, either digitally or physically, they will be granted access to Disneyland Paris as having a valid Health Pass. Valid photo ID will also be required and presented along with your proof of conditions in order to gain a valid Health Pass.

Do I get a physical pass by having a Health Pass or do I need to register to obtain a Health Pass?

No. By having one of the three proofs of conditions you automatically have a valid ‘Health Pass’. For all tense and purposes, this proof of condition (either digitally or physically) is your Health Pass for the duration of your time at Disneyland Paris.

How long will Health Pass be required to visit Disneyland Paris?

It is currently unknown how long Health Pass will be required for guests to gain entry to Disneyland Paris. As the global pandemic continues however, it is good practice to be prepared and expect Health Pass to be a part of any DLP trips for the foreseeable future.

I have an EU COVID-19 Certificate or equivalent in my country. Do I still need a Health Pass?

As the EU COVID-19 Certificate and equivalent certificate systems (such as the NHS app in England) are designed to display the same conditions required as a Health Pass, guests with a valid certificate can use this as their Health Pass.

It should be noted that valid photo ID is still required if a digital certificate is being presented as your Health Pass.

Do I need to take PCR tests even if I have a Health Pass?

Although a negative PCR test is not required to enter Disneyland Paris in addition to a Health Pass, guests from specific countries may require a negative PCR test to enter France in line with government travel restrictions and laws during the global pandemic.

In addition, many countries may also require PCR tests before and after returning home from France. These factors should be taken into consideration by all guests before planning a trip to Disneyland Paris.

More information on travel restrictions and rules, including self-isolation and quarantine, is available on the French government website and the official websites of your nation’s government.

Can I get a PCR test in Disneyland Paris?

Yes. PCR tests can be taken in Disney Village at the Testing Center, located in the building that used to be Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show. PCR tests in Disney Village are organised and handled by a French government approved third-party, Loxamed.

If you are looking to take a PCR test in Disney Village, a reservation must be made in advance with payment made before your test.

For French nationals, a Loxamed PCR test is €20.00 (a valid French social security number must be presented).

For non-French nationals, a Loxamed PCR test is €63.89.

More information on Loxamed, the testing center and the PCR tests can be found at the Loxamed website.

Does Health Pass mean we don’t need face masks and other health & safety measures?

No. Although a Health Pass can prove guests are fully vaccinated or have recently received a negative COVID-19 test, this does not mean health & safety measures and regulations can be dropped.

The health & safety of all guests and Cast Members is paramount to Disneyland Paris. To ensure all guests and cast can have a safe time while in the resort current measures must still be maintained including social distancing, the mandatory wearing of face masks, hand sanitisation stations and more. More information can be found on the official website and in previous guides on the re-opening of Disneyland Paris.

I do not agree with Health Pass and/or believe I should be exempt from needing one. Can I still visit Disneyland Paris without one?

No.
