Disney Village to partially re-open for Christmas period

Disney Village is to partially re-open from 5th December

Disney Village is to partially re-open from 5th December for shoppers and cinema goes a week later to bring some Disney Christmas cheer into the holidays.

The entertainment complex found between the two theme parks and Disney Hotels temporarily closed for a second time along with the rest of Disneyland Paris back in October after official orders from the French government. As the global pandemic continues France President Emmanuel Macron made the decision to bring the country into another lockdown to help decrease the spread of infection.

As the lockdown begins to slowly be relaxed over the coming weeks, World of Disney will re-open its doors on Saturday 5th December from 2:00pm – 8:00pm to a limited capacity. The beloved store at the entrance to the Village will remain open until just before Xmas itself on Wednesday 23rd December.

In order to help accessibility and to limit browsing and over-crowding, Disneyland Paris has also introduced a brand new Click & Collect service exclusively for World of Disney. Customers can select and reserve the products they wish to buy then arrive into the Disney Village store to pick them up and pay.

Additionally, guests will be able to enjoy a full hour of free parking at the Disney Village Indigo Parking opposite the complex. Those looking to take advantage of this can redeem their free parking voucher when paying for their items in World of Disney.

The following week on 15th December, more of the Village will welcome guests with the Gaumont Disney Village cinema. Providing the government doesn’t change their current stance on allowing cinemas to re-open, guests will be able to truly get into the Christmas spirit with a collection of classic Disney films to enjoy. More information will be made available on the cinema’s official website.

Although not as exciting as Disneyland Park or Walt Disney Studios Park re-opening, the partial return of Disney Village will come as a pleasant surprise to locals and bringing some Disney cheer into the holiday season. As with all elements of Disneyland Paris that has previous re-opened this year, all health and safety measures and guidance will be expected to be maintained. This includes social distancing, the mandatory wearing of face masks and the use of hand sanitisation stations found all throughout Disney Village.

Finally, Golf Disneyland will once again welcome budding golfers for some Wintertime rounds from 5th December. Much like when the complex previously re-opened a reservation will be required, though the restaurant and shop will remain closed until further notice.

World of Disney will re-open from 5th December – 23rd December 2020, with Gaumont Disney Village re-opening on 15th December. Golf Disneyland will re-open on 5th December 2020.
