St. David’s & St. Patrick’s Day 2019 details announced

St. David’s Day and St. Patrick’s Day are two very traditional and highly welcomed national holidays celebrated all around the world. For the 13th year running Disneyland Paris will be joining in on the fun of both days to give guests visiting a little Celtic magic during their stay.

Music at Videopolis

Welsh choir group ‘One Men Aloud’ will be joined by the Saint David’s Dance Troupe to perform some traditional Welsh songs on the Videopolis stage in Discoveryland.

In addition, a selection of Welsh bands will be celebrated by the Disney Performing Arts group, with Mickey & Minnie tagging along in their traditional attire.

Free makeup

Get into the full St. David’s Day spirit with makeup facepainting, available for free to guests near Videopolis,

Dreams of Wales

Directly before Disney Illuminations closes off the night at Disneyland Park, prepare yourself for a castle pre-show celebrating all things Welsh and its culture. This is always a fun little addition when stapled on to the beginning of the nightly spectacular.

Disney Village

Throughout the David’s Day weekend you’ll find a selection of festivities going on in honour of Wales. Check out Welsh cuisine and handmade products at the Welsh market from Friday to Sunday.

Things will get lively on the Friday and Saturday night with Cardiff Fever and Cassidy Street concerts in Billy Bob’s Country Western Saloon.

Music at Videopolis

Head on down to the Videopolis stage for traditional Irish music and a tribute to Irish bands from the Disney Performing Arts and an Irish dance troupe.

Just like during St. David’s, Mickey and Minnie will also be present and getting in the spirit of things in their traditional Irish costumes.

Free makeup

Near to Videopolis you will find makeup facepainting allowing guests to wear their Irish celebration for the day. Just as the week before this will also be free to guests.

Dreams of Ireland

Capping off the Paddy’s Day fun in Disneyland Park will be a castle pre-show directly before Disney Illuminations. Celebrating all things of the culture island this is your chance to see Sleeping Beauty’s castle turn green and show it’s shamrock.

Disney Village

Things will be getting very musical on St. Patrick’s Day in the Village with live Celtic music and dancing in the early evening on the podium. Keep an eye out too for leprechauns who have journeyed over from Ireland for one day only.

On the Sunday night you’ll find more thematical music at Billy Bob’s with the City of Light Celtic Band Duo and Greenland Whalefishers performing live concerts well into the night.

The St. David’s and St. Patrick’s Day celebrations are more to an already content heavy March. The 16th will we the duel winter seasons Legends of the the Force and Pirates & Princesses; with the latter receiving it’s own Annual Pass night on the 22nd. The weekend following Patrick’s Day will also see Marvel Season of Super Heroes return to Walt Disney Studios Park.
