Annual Passholder soft reopening announced for 13th and 14th July

Ahead of Disneyland Paris officially welcoming guests again on 15th July, Annual Passholders have been given the opportunity to visit the magic first on two exclusive days as a soft reopening.

The resort closed its gates back in March amidst the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, following suit with all other Disney Parks throughout the world. As the rate of infection and spread of the virus gradually decreased in France Disney now feel is it safe to once again allow guests and Cast to return to the parks and beyond, with key health and safety measures in place.

“Dear Annual Passholders,

We have missed you and we are thrilled to welcome you again at our resort! Today, I am delighted to come to you with exciting news! As our biggest and most loyal guests, it was important for us to recognize you by offering you the exclusive opportunity to rediscover Disneyland Paris before its official opening!

It is with tremendous joy that I look forward to seeing you on 13 and 14 July for 2 exceptional days, dedicated to you! All Cast Members and myself are thrilled to see you again, as there’s no magic without you!

See you soon!”

Natacha Rafalski, President of Disneyland Paris

Soft openings (or reopenings, in this case) are commonly seen when a new area, attraction, show or season debuts in any Disney park in the world. Typically reserved for a select few like press or Annual Passholders they are an opportunity to not only present what is new in a more controlled and relaxed environment but also act as a ‘dress rehearsal’ for the real thing.

Just as will apply when the resort officially returns on 15th, the soft reopening days will have in place all of the necessary health and safety measures to ensure an enjoyable and safe experience for both guests and Cast Members alike. A full detailed guide of what to expect under these new conditions can be found here.

As the resort will be returning under a limited capacity, so too of course will these preview dates meaning that prior reservations will be required. Any Annual Passholders hoping to take advantage of this sought after benefit will need to do so via the online registration system found on the official Disneyland Paris website.

Disneyland Paris will officially reopen to all guests on 15th July.
