The first details for the New Year’s Eve 2019 party have been announced, with for the first time the promise of a second parade and more shows during the evening of entertainment.
Taking place in Disneyland Park this special event is the best way to see of the year and welcome in 2020, in the heart of Disneyland Paris magic. Expected favourites such as the Sparkling New Year’s Eve Fireworks will of course return, counting down to midnight before illuminating Sleeping Beauty’s castle with an arrangement of classic Disney songs and memories.
One of the highlights of the event, the incredible Disney’s New Year’s Eve Parade, will of course also return for another nostalgic trip down Main Street U.S.A., in tune to classic parade themed of yesteryear like ‘Dancin’ A Catchy Rhythm’. New for New Year’s Eve 2019 however is the inclusion of a second parade; Count-down to Fun Parade. Little is known about this second set piece for the evening other than it will include the main couple Mickey & Minnie Mouse and – as the name suggests – will take place at some point before the 2020 is rung in.
As New Year’s is just a single week after Christmas Day, there’s plenty of reasons to keep the holiday celebrations going and this is no exception for the night’s party. This year will see seasonal shows The Royal Sparkling Winter Waltz and Let’s Sing Christmas – seen typically during the daylight of normal operation – run especially for the night.
As for Disney Characters, a special few will of course be in attendance to party with guests through the night. Oogie Boogie who famously drew in a mass of crowds this Halloween will return from Halloweentown while Toy Story 4’s Bo Peep will so make an appearance after her summertime debut.
New Year’s Eve is night always known for partying and music, and at Disneyland Paris this is no exception with two dance parties planned for the event. Over in Discoveryland the Starport will once again play host to jumping music as Stitch and Angel take over the area. Brand new for this year however will be the first ever DJ party in front of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle, as DJ Afrojack will help celebrate 2020 with the crowd.
If attractions are more your thing New Year’s Eve 2019 will have you covered with a selection of attractions staying open long into the night for your enjoyment. It is unclear yet how many will be available for guests but classic favourites Big Thunder Mountain and Phantom Manor have been confirmed.
The a New Year’s Eve 2019 party, of course, takes place on 31st December and runs from 8pm – 2am in the new decade of 2020. Tickets are now available online and via City Hall starting at £87.07 / €101.75 for either an adult or child.
