L’Hiver Gourmand de Disneyland Paris, a brand new Winter food festival, is set to open for this Christmas and beyond at Walt Disney Studios Park.
Coming off this summer’s Rendez-vous Gourmand, the event will play host in Place des Remy offering seasonally appropriate food and drink throughout the cold months of 2018 and 2019.

The summer equivalent, which celebrated its second incarnation this year, showcases a range of dishes, desserts and drinks from all over Europe and the French regions. Although this won’t be as detailed, the promise pancakes, sauerkraut, hot chocolate and wine from the five food huts will be sure warm the tastebuds of many guests. Additionally, vegan options will also be available.
L’hiver Gourmand de Disneyland Paris will run from Saturday 10th November 2018 until Sunday 17th March 2019.
After experiencing Rendez-vows Gourmand for the first time this summer during my Jazz and Halloween trip, I was very impressed and this is something I welcome not only this year but to become a permanent feature to WDS winters.
The smells, interesting food and all round relaxed atmosphere created by the summer food festival was something I really enjoyed checking out during the warm weather. Bringing that back for the chillier climate and darker days will be sure to help not only warm up guests but keep them in the Studios willingly for longer. The choice of returning to Place des Remy is of course the perfect use of the area – though that is self explanatory.
Perhaps the most exciting thing to come from this news however is the longevity of D’Hiver Gourmand. Running from the launch of Christmas all the way until the end of Legends of the Force, the Studios can continue to keep guests fed and watered as they wait for both versions of the Tower of Terror nighttime spectaculars. Walt Disney Studios Park’s massive expansion may still be years away, but excellent progress is being made already in turning the guest into a full day park.
I can’t wait to try this out on my next trip to Disneyland Paris next week as I check out the Christmas season for the first time in 6 years. Are you excited by this new winter food event coming to WDS? I’d love to hear your thoughts over on Twitter!
