Construction of Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel has been put on hold until an unknown date due to the current resort closure and government measures.
This of course means that the Disney Hotel will not be completed by the original 15th June 2020 schedule and has been delayed.
Work on transforming the on-site property into Disney’s first Marvel themed hotel has been on-going since the hotel closed its doors in January of 2019. The COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic however has obviously lead to the final construction work on the project being paused.
During this unprecedented situation and in line with government measures, the construction for Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel was temporarily put on hold and as you might imagine, this is impacting our timeline for the hotel’s originally scheduled opening (15th June 2020).
While we do not have a new opening date to announce right now, we hope to be able to share more information, once it is advisable to resume our construction areas, and assess when we will be ready to open the hotel.

Though the main attraction to the hotel will be the thousands of Marvel inspired artwork found all throughout the location, ranging from legendary superhero artists to one-of-a-kind pieces created exclusively for the hotel.
Disneyland Paris closed its gates back in March as a safety precaution due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This came shortly before the French government brought the country into lockdown to help stop the spread of the disease.
