The Lion King and Jungle Festival has been officially announced as the latest new season to come to Disneyland Paris in the Summer of 2019.
The announcement was made at a press conference held by the resort in the French capital Paris. The conference coincided with the launch of the latest resort brochure which also announces the season.

Details are still scarce on what the season will entail, but the name certainly suggests that fan favourites The Lion King and The Jungle Book will play a major role. It is likely the season will be used to further push the reopening of The Chaparral Theatre with a new Lion King stage show. The theatre has been closed for all of 2018 as it has been entirely rebuilt from the ground up.
The Lion King and Jungle Festival will run from July until September 2019.
This isn’t the first time we’ve heard about such a season coming to Disneyland Paris. During Disney FanDaze, then CEO Catherine Powell let slip her excitement for the upcoming Lion King show “and the summer season”. Rumours have also long spread that a festival themed to the Disney animal greats was on the cards for next year.
