First details have been announced for Christmas 2020 at Disneyland Paris as the resort rounds off a turbulent and eventual year with some much needed festivities and joy; all of which at a safe distance of course.
The most drastic of changes first noticeable to anyone familiar with the traditional Xmas offerings will no doubt be the omissions of any shows and parades. The season is typically famous for its excellent gatherings like the Christmas parade and Mickey’s Christmas Big Band, these have obviously needed see a pause for this year due to the global pandemic and safety measures still in place in Disneyland Paris.
That’s not to mean celebration cannot be had, however. The beloved decorations across Main Street U.S.A. and beyond will continue to sparkle bright during this extra magical time of year along with the regular surprise of snowfall.
Meanwhile at Meet Mickey Mouse, the leader of the gang will be waiting for a selfie dressed in their Christmas best. More festive selfie spots will also be found throughout the resort so be sure to keep a look out and have your camera or phone ready.
For Christmas 2020, Santa Claus will be swapping his usual spot in Fantasyland for the retrofuturism of Videopolis as the theatre stage will be transformed into his own festive workshop. Much like Meet Mickey Mouse and other locations, this will be a new selfie spot for guests to meet and interact with St Nick right up until the big day on 25th December.
After four months of closure before a return in the Summer, it has been an unique year for Disneyland Paris to say the least. Although this season will certainly not be the traditional, show heavy one many had hoped for there will certainly be enough to spread some festive cheer during the Winter months of November and December.
Christmas 2020 at Disneyland Paris will run from 7th November 2020 – 10th January 2021.
